JULY 23 UPDATE
We are pleased to have three new locations and many new customers join the Stockman family. Our new customers have been patient as we converted accounts over this past weekend and yesterday. Thank you to everyone who came in, called, and worked through the process of moving from Rocky Mountain to Stockman. We welcome you and hope to serve you, your families, and your businesses for many years to come.
JULY 16 UPDATE
Activate your new debit card immediately!
Call the number on the sticker to activate your new card as soon as you receive it. While activating, you will also be prompted to select a new PIN. Immediate activation will let us know your card was safely delivered and ensures you will have continuous access to your funds over the conversion weekend.
When can I use my new Stockman Bank Debit Card?
You may begin using your new Stockman Bank Debit Card on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. Your Rocky Mountain Bank debit card will no longer work as of 12:00am on Saturday, July 20th.
JULY 12 UPDATE
Our new Plains customers: If you need assistance transferring a recurring direct deposit to your new Stockman Bank account, we are here to help. As we approach the closing date of Stockman Bank’s acquisition of your Rocky Mountain Bank branch, we are committed to addressing your concerns and ensuring a smooth transition.
Why this matters: Still have questions or need guidance on your direct deposits or automatic payments? We're here to help with our conversion-dedicated customer service line at (888) 674-8882 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm).
The big picture: Stockman Bank will inform government agencies, organizations, and third parties about the changes to your information for a period of time after the acquisition. However, we recommend that you follow up with them after July 19th to ensure they update their records in a timely manner.
The bottom line: If you still need to update or have concerns about your direct deposits after July 19th, we'll work with you to answer your questions and ease your worries. Contact your local banker first to help you get set up and complete on your own. JUNE 6 UPDATE
We are pleased to announce we have received regulatory approval for our purchase of Rocky Mountain Bank branches in Kalispell, Bigfork and Plains. This means we may now officially communicate with you about the transition of your accounts to Stockman Bank. We know you have many questions about the conversion, and we thank you for your patience while we completed this part of the regulatory process.
Conversion Date
Your Rocky Mountain Bank (“Rocky Mountain”) accounts will automatically convert to Stockman Bank (“Stockman”) accounts after the close of business on Friday, July 19, 2024. Next Steps
We are carefully evaluating the best way to transition your banking relationship and will be mailing you additional information in the coming weeks with more details on your new Stockman accounts. You may receive multiple mailings, depending on the products and services you currently have with Rocky Mountain. We’ve included a pocket folder with this letter so you may keep your conversion information all in one place.

Stockman Bank is acquiring three of HTLF Bank’s (HTLF) Rocky Mountain Bank division branches located in Kalispell, Bigfork and Plains.

Your Rocky Mountain Bank (“Rocky Mountain”) accounts will automatically convert to Stockman Bank (“Stockman”) accounts after the close of business on Friday, July 19, 2024. Once the acquisition is complete, Stockman Bank will serve customers at the same locations in Kalispell, Bigfork and Plains. You will also be able to do your banking at any of Stockman Bank's many locations across Montana including Stockman Bank’s branches located in downtown Kalispell and in Whitefish. All employees of Rocky Mountain Bank will be offered employment with Stockman Bank.
We are working hard to make this transition as smooth as possible. At this time, no action on your part is necessary. In the coming weeks, you will receive communications in the mail that will provide specific details on your accounts.
Yes! Stockman has a state-of-the-art online and mobile banking program. In the coming weeks, you will receive communications in the mail that will provide specific details on the conversion of your current online and mobile banking to Stockman’s program.
Your Rocky Mountain accounts will automatically convert to Stockman accounts after the close of business on Friday, July 19, 2024. There may be a disruption in service during the weekend of July 20th and 21st as services and products are converted, and we will work with you to minimize the disruption and communicate how the products you use will be impacted. Until then, it’s business as usual. You will continue using your existing Rocky Mountain checks, credit and debit cards, and online and mobile banking services. You should also continue to make any loan payments as usual.
Stockman is carefully evaluating all products and services so we may select the Stockman account that is most similar to the one you currently have with Rocky Mountain. In the coming weeks, we will mail you additional information with more details on your new Stockman accounts. Please explore our website to learn more about our accounts, products and services.
Other than a few exceptions, your checking, CD, IRA, savings account and loan numbers will not change. If your account is one that will require an account number to change, you will be notified in a separate mailing.
You will continue to earn the interest rate guaranteed on your CD and/or IRA when you opened your account at Rocky Mountain, or its last renewal, for the remainder of the account term. Upon maturity, CDs and IRAs may be renewed at Stockman’s current market rates in effect on that date, unless otherwise notified.
Yes. In the coming weeks you will receive information on how to transition your accounts to Stockman’s online banking platform.
Yes. Your deposit accounts will continue to be insured by the FDIC. The standard FDIC insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each ownership category. During the first six months after the acquisition, your transferred deposits will be separately insured from any accounts you may already have at Stockman. This period allows you to evaluate your account structure and maximize FDIC insurance coverage.
While the bank name will change to Stockman, branch phone numbers will remain the same and you can continue to bank at the same location you do now. You can also bank at any of Stockman’s convenient locations across the state.
