Federal Crop Insurance
Multi Peril Crop Insurance
Multi Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) is a risk management tool that farmers can use to protect against loss to their crops due to natural disasters such as hail, drought, freezing, flood, fire, insects, or loss of revenue due to a price decline. MPCI is a federally regulated and subsidized product sold and serviced by crop insurance companies and agents.
Crop-Hail
Crop-Hail Policies are not part of the Federal Crop Insurance Program but are sold and serviced by private insurance companies and agents. Crop-Hail protects against some of the gaps of MPCI by protecting fields from partial damage caused by hail and
in some cases additional perils.
